Curing Dry hands

Hello! If you haven’t checked out my last post where I show you how to make your own hand scrub, check it out here. I mentioned how dry my hands have been from all this hand washing and they have been in need of all the moisture they can get! So, to go along with my DIY hand scrub, here are my favourite products to prevent my hands from feeling dry and cracked…

I have forever been a fan of L’Occitane products. I’m pretty sure that is because my Mom introduced them to me. Their original Shea Butter Hand Creme is always a go to and I even have mini ones in different bags. This product is also great, because is doesn’t leave a greasy feeling (you know the one) and a little goes a long way.

Another moisturizer I have been loving lately is the AVEDA hand relief moisturizing creme. I like to use this right before bed, because I do find it leaves a bit of an oily feeling after but totally does the trick!

Okay, so not only do your hands need moisture but so do you nails! Don’t let them dry out, especially during this time of at home manicures. Simple apply cuticle oil daily and for an added benefit of keeping cuticles at bay, gently press and massage the cuticle down.

Also try moisturizing from the inside out. I find not being at school or work I have been forgetting to drink water during the day, but I’m working on it. Try to drink plenty of water during this time to not only keep your skin healthy but also for the overall health benefits.

Do you have any other ways you are caring for your hands and nails during this time?
